I have been blogging for over 4 years but only about a year on my current blog. I started my blog because I went to the mirror one day and no longer knew who I was.
I have looked at myself many times in the mirror but that day I took a really long, hard look and just couldn’t recognize the person I had become. I had spent five years in the Coast Guard and then all of a sudden I was a civilian with a totally unhealthy lifestyle.
Out of that, my blog was born. I started as a way to get my life back on track, and to keep me accountable to reach my goals. Now a year later I feel like I have totally transformed my life and my blog has gone through a transformation as well.
Not only do I continue to blog to stay accountable, but I also now use the platform to encourage and motivate other women who have lost their sense of self and are struggling to get back on track.
I think of my blog like the bar in the TV show Cheers, where everyone knows your name. I connect with my readers daily on Facebook to push them to reach their goals and I love knowing that we are all working toward a common goal of living healthier more fulfilled lives.
I absolutely love blogging and the ability to connect with so many different people across the world. Not to mention all of the great friends I have made across the globe. The community that forms around you as a blogger is amazing. I am so glad that I have found my passion and this year I took the plunge and became a full time blogger and I am loving it! The days and nights can sometimes be long but I think its totally worth it.
So why do you blog and what motivates you to continue to blog?
